This week, Jacob is more aware of everything around him. He seems to be learning cause and effect. Oh, my little baby isn't so much a baby anymore. These 21 weeks have flown by. Wow . . . to even type that out, 2-1-weeks. It makes me so sad. My baby is growing right before my eyes and I blinked and don't know what happened to all the time that has passed. Please God, let me remember each moment, smell, sound, touch of my little Jacob baby. I'm not ready yet. Okay, pull yourself together Nat. This is what life is about anyway right? I really never, NEVER understood what this type of love was until Jacob. Okay, sorry for that mushy, gushy insight into my soul.

21 weeks young. |
Where was I . . . oh, cause and effect. So, I sing to Jacob daily and after I stop, he will reach up and touch my face to make me start singing again. It's super cute! I mean who wouldn't want to hear me sing anyway. I have been known to win a few karaoke matches in my time (even though some people . . . ahem . . . E & J, think I cheat. How can you cheat in a karaoke game anyway? Skill is skill.) so maybe Jake just really digs my voice. He even joins in from time to time and we sing a duet. He is finding his voice more and more each day.
Jake has also started to suck on his bottom lip, a lot. It's kinda silly looking. He looks so cute doing it. I wonder if it's his own organic teether. LOL

I love chewing on my bottom lip! |

Where'd it go? |
He decided that bath time = splash time now. Our normal routine is that daddy bathes Jake while mommy takes a breather before our bedtime nursing / rocking / pacifying session. It's so funny.
Jake: Splash! Splash! Splash!
Jesse: HaHaHa! Look Nat at how much Jacob is splashing.
Jake: Splash! Splash! Splash!
Jesse: Jake, calm down. Ouch Jake! Let go of my nipple! Look Nat, he has my nipple!
I say better daddy's nipple than mommy's nipple. They've already been through the ringer. : /
So now when we put Jacob down on his back, he automatically wants to roll to his tummy. After he rolls to his tummy, he gets so mad. It's so cute. He's so cute! Now to teach him that he's able to roll the other way too!
And one more picture because it's too funny not to post. Grandma P got him a winter coat already. Oh my poor baby's arms. He'll just have to have them out to the sides until he's strong enough to bring them down to their proper spot. : ) This is one of those pictures to use to embarrass him when he brings a girl home (in like 20 years).
