28 Weeks...Ay Caramba!

Jacob has learned so much this week!
I love my mommy!

I can see his motor skills starting to develop more and it's so exciting!  He has been my little smooshy non-moble baby for 27ish weeks now and all of a sudden it's like, "Hold on mommy, you're going to be in for a bumpy ride!  Here I go, ready or not!".  Jake is starting to really roll over.  Not just the turns here and there, but purposefully roll.  I feel like I've stifled him just a little bit.  I want to keep him in my arms all the time.  Why do you want to roll, when I can carry you?!

So, not only has he decided to start rolling but he also decided that he wants to try and push up on his knees when he's lying on his tummy.  Did I mention that he is also transferring objects from one hand to the other?  :)  I'm so proud of you little boy!

Jake is getting sooooooo loooong.  Now when I nurse him in my nursing chair (it's our glider), his cute not so little feet almost dangle off of the chair.  We are going to have to readjust our nursing position real soon.  I've also had to lift up the setting on the exersaucer.

I'm helping with this photoshoot too!
My new pouty face.  How do I look?

And I feel that this milestone needs some celebration... Jacob had his first big boy (sweet potato) POOP!  It's so much easier to clean!  I have also started Tooth Watch: 6 buds but no teeth yet.  I'll keep you posted.

27 Weeks and Counting!

Oh my, my baby is growing up so quickly!

Boys really do rule! (Or at least I do!)
Lets see, we have had such a busy week with so many new experiences in it.  For instance, Jacob got his first haircut!  Grandma C cut it for him.  I held Jake while daddy manned the video camera and grandpa C was there for moral support.  After his haircut, Jake looked like such a big boy!  I'm sad and excited . . . I guess this is just the beginning.

We had lunch at a local Mexican restaurant.  Jake had his first restaurant meal.  Avocados = Yummy  Speaking of food, he also tried pureed carrots for the first time and loved them!
I love carrots!
I've really started to let him try new flavors recently; so far, green beans, peas, carrots, avocado, sweet potato, apple juice (diluted of course), and whatever flavors are lingering in mommy's milk!

We were at uncle W's house to watch some football, and Jakey decided he was going to gesture with grandma C when she started singing pat a cake to him!  He is picking things up so quickly!
